DEFENDER Kyle McFadzean is looking forward to the battle against the Championship top scorer Chris Wood this weekend when the Brewers take on Leeds United at the Pirelli.
McFadzean said ahead of the match: “When you play against the best players you always look forward to it, he as proved this year what a good striker he is. He is top scorer in the league so he will be a handful but I will be raring to go against him.
Leeds currently sit in 7th place just out of the play-offs on goal difference and with Albion seeking a win to help secure their Championship status McFadzean expects an exciting game:
“We go into the game in good spirits, we’ve got three games left and nine points to play for. We know they will be a tough opponent with them desperately wanting to get back into the play-off spots. They won’t want to be going into their last two games needing to overturn a three point difference knowing the form Sheffield Wednesday and Fulham are in.
“No team has come to the Pirelli and had an easy ride of things and they will have to be at their very best to come way from here with three points. We will be ready for the scrap and hopefully get the right result. With them looking for points and us too, it might leave gaps especially if they’re chasing the game where we can look to capitalise.”
