JON McLaughlin will not play again this season after picking up an arm injury on Easter Monday at Birmingham.
The Albion keeper is facing an operation and will be sidelined for two months so Albion will turn to Stephen Bywater to deputise for the remaining three Championship fixtures.
Brewers first team coach Andy Garner said: "Jon will have an operation on Monday - the muscle in his arm has become detached and it's badly bruised. A scan revealed he needed an operation and he is out for the rest of the season.
"It's a blow for us as Jon has done well but we have total faith in Stephen. He came in last week and kept a clean sheet so there is no better replacement."
