RECORD HOLIDAY CAMP NUMBERS AS PALMER AND WILLIAMSON VISIT

11 April 2017

BACT’s highest ever holiday course numbers were reached yesterday at the Burton Albion Community Football Centre 3G, with first team players Matty Palmer and Lee Williamson joining in the fun.

The Easter course saw its highest number of participants for a one day camp since Burton Albion Community Trust was founded, hitting the three-figure mark for the first ever time. The day was made complete by the visit of the two midfielders, as they joined in the fun with the excited youngsters, taking part in football matches, giving out programmes and signing autographs.

Scott Taylor, Football Development Manager, who has been with the Trust since it was founded in 2010, said: “It was fantastic to see so many faces on today’s holiday course. We were hoping that the new facility would help to increase numbers and we are delighted with how many that we’ve got. We hope this can continue long term.”
