Sam Rose was pleased with the way that his under 18s side ended the season, with a 3-1 win over Hartlepool this week.
Joe Sbarra, Tristan Matthews and James Harrison scored in the win. Rose felt that his team has ended the season on a high-note and is optimistic about the summer ahead and the potential that his side possesses.
"It was a strong performance to end the season. Over the past 3 games the group have shown us the level of performance that they can achieve.
"The result against Hartlepool was fully deserved, and against a good side. The players showed purpose in their attacking play and worked very hard from start to finish.
"It has been a pleasure to work with this group of players. The group have shown lots of potential, particularly the u16s that will be joining us full-time from July.
We are all looking forward to building on what has been a strong finish when we report for pre-season training. We have a busy month planned before an exciting trip to Holland to look forward to."
