CHANGES TO POLICIES

4 August 2017

AFTER receiving new ground regulations from the EFL and having reviewed the first Championship season, Burton Albion will be making alterations to its stadium policies for the 2017/18 season.

All changes will be aimed at making the matchday experience even better for visiting fans this season with spectator safety given the highest priority.

After input from the club's Supporter Liaison Group there will be two new designated family sections on the terracing for a trial period.

These will be in section I in the North Stand and section K in the West.

Although these areas won't be sectioned off, fans are expected to respect that these areas should remain family friendly at all times, giving supporters with younger children their own part of the terracing. Matchday stewards will remind fans in these areas of the family policy.

In addition, Burton Albion will be conducting extra searches and checks before games after updating the club's contingency policy. Fans will also not be allowed to bring rucksacks and larger bags into the ground or other items such as stools on the terracing that have an impact on the safety and comfort of other spectators.

Babes in arms will not be allowed in the terracing. Those fans wishing to bring a babe in arms into the ground should purchase a seat.

Commercial director Fleur Robinson said: "We continue to look at ways of improving the matchday experience for all our supporters and these steps will help us move that forward in our second season in the Championship."
