CLOUGH HOPES TO BRING IN UP TO FOUR MORE PLAYERS

7 August 2017

NIGEL Clough hopes to bring in four new signings before the transfer window closes.

The Albion boss said: "We have made enquiries for the four players - three loans and one permanent. We are just waiting for decisions. People are sometimes reluctant to let them come out this early in the window.

"We will keep pressing this week. We need to add players before the end of the window.

"It's quality we are seaching for. We saw against Cardiff that it was quality that won the game.

"We had bags of honesty and endeavour but sometimes you need that quality as well."

Albion came through the Cardiff game relatively unscathed.

Clough said: "Marvin Sordell has missed quite a lot of pre-season and 60 odd minutees was enough for him against Cardiff. Lloyd Dyer's thigh tightened up a bit but everyone else should be fine."
