NIGEL Clough was happy with the performance and the result as Albion advanced in the Carabao Cup with a 3-2 win at Oldham.
The Brewers boss said: "We made eight changes tonight and wanted to get a couple of the lads who had come through the Academy out there in the shape of Ben Fox and Joe Sbarra - who both did very well.
"I thought it was a good game throughout, although the goals all came in the second half.
"We highlighted the fact that they would be dangerous from set plays as they are a big side. We were 1-0 up and there was no need to gve a free kick away. It comes piling into our area and ends up in he back of the net.
"John Mousinho then gives a penalty away and from a game we have controlled we find ourselves 2-1 down.
"We didn't want a lot of the lads in contention for Saturday playing 90 minutes tonight so we were pleased to avoid extra time.
"But there was a lot of good play and a lot of encouraging signs.
"It was brilliant for everyone involved tonight. We put a team out that was good enough to win and we now look forward to the draw tomorrow."
