MATTY Palmer says the Brewers need to create more chances in the Sky Bet Championship in order to ease the defensive pressure.
The midfielder played the full game against his former club Oldham Athletic on Wednesday night.
He said: "I think we need to get the balance right. We're going to go to teams that will put us under pressure so we will need to defend well.
"When we get the ball we need to create more to cause them more of a threat so were not defending for as many minutes as we have been. The boys know what were doing so were confident."
Nigel Clough has stated that he is still searching for a striker after Liam Boyce's season-ending injury during pre-season, and Matty Palmer says it's important that the midfielders chip in with goals to help the team.
"I think even if he brings in a striker we as midfielders still need to chip in with goals or assists," said Palmer. "Hopefully we can take it into Saturday and create some chances up at Hull."
