WITH the Brewers facing another long midweek away trip as they travel to Cardiff City on Tuesday, Nigel Clough has expressed his disappointment at the Carabao Cup draw.
The Brewers manager said: “We can’t tell you how disappointed we are with the whole process being in the southern part of the draw. Our nearest trip would have been Milton Keynes two hours away and when you are regionalising a draw that seems highly unfair.
“I think we have been penalised for things that have nothing to do with us. The fact that West Ham and Newport can’t play at home has nothing to do with Burton Albion but we have been penalised for it as we should have been in the northern half of the draw with the more local teams for our supporters.”
