NIGEL Clough hails a 'very good' performance after Burton Albion became the first team to beat Cardiff City this season.
"I thought it was a very good performance. The only thing we were disappointed with is that we ended up hanging on at the end which the first 75 minutes of the game didn't deserve or didn't warrant us to be hanging on at the end.
"The chances we had tonight we should have been maybe three goals ahead and then maybe it wouldn't have mattered. All of a sudden if something breaks for them and they get extra time it's a different game again."
Sean Scannell made his Albion debut after signing on a season-long loan from Huddersfield Town on Friday.
"To go into your sixth game of the season and there's three players making their first starts of the season, Scannell, Turner and Flanagan that's highly unusual," said Clough. "Usually the lads are up to speed now so they were a little bit rusty still but they did well. I'm delighted with Sean Scannell for the hour."
