A TOTAL of £1,160 was raised at a charity collection at the Pirelli Stadium by Burton Round Table.
Before Burton Albion’s home game against Preston, The Round Table brought Father Christmas and his sleigh to the stadium.
Santa handed out presents to youngsters and posed for pictures with fans as Round Table volunteers collected in cash to be distributed to good causes.
Matthew Hidderley, from Burton Round Table, said: “Thanks to everyone at Burton Albion for their support on Saturday. The reception we had for Santa and our volunteers from Burton Round Table/ Derby Ladies Circle and friends from Albion staff and supporters was fantastic. The feedback we had was amazing.
“In total on Saturday we raised £1,160 for local causes and most importantly continued to engage with the community and provide some Christmas cheer.”
