INJURY UPDATE: READING

20 December 2017

NIGEL Clough expects everybody except Joe Mason and Liam Boyce to be in contention for Saturday’s trip to Reading.

The Brewers go into the game at the Madejski Stadium on the back of a 1-0 win away at Bolton Wanderers. Liam Boyce is continuing his recovery from an ACL injury, while Mason from an acutely inflamed appendix.

Clough doesn’t expect the Wolves loanee to be fit to play until January, by which time his loan deal will be up. The Burton manager says that there will be almost a fully fit squad for the game against Reading this weekend.

He said: “Everybody seemed to get through okay on Saturday, there is just Joe Mason, who will be missing, and Liam Boyce, we are stepping up his training every week.

“Joe’s problem with his appendix will probably rule him out until January, when the loan is up anyway so we will review that in early January. Everybody else should be in contention.”
