CAULEY WOODROW HEAPS PRAISE ON MICHAEL KIGHTLY

22 February 2017

ON-LOAN forward Cauley Woodrow has heaped praise on Michael Kightly after scoring three goals in his first three games for the Brewers.

Kightly joined on-loan from Burnley late on Deadline Day and has had an immediate impact on Nigel Clough's squad since linking up with his new team mates.

The winger's latest goal came in the 2-1 victory over Norwich City on Saturday, after Cameron Jerome had levelled things up at the Pirelli Stadium.

"He is a good player. He has got a lot of experience, a very clever footballer and really nice on the ball," said Woodrow.

And the Albion youngster is hoping he can continue to learn from 31-year-old Michael Kightly between now and the end of the season.

Cauley said: "His finish was brilliant. For me as a young player, I just learn off him. He tries to help me when I play with him. He talks to me.

"He helps people in the dressing room. He has got a lot of experience. He has played at a high level. He has played for England Under-21s and in the Premier League for quite a few years.

"If he can use his head and experience to help the lads who are less experienced, it is only going to put us in a good position when we play."
