INJURIES MOUNT UP AHEAD OF BLACKBURN GAME

22 February 2017

NIGEL Clough will go into the Blackburn Rovers game on Friday night with a depleted squad.

Defenders Kyle McFadzean, John Brayford and Damien McCrory are still not ready for action and Lucas Askins and Michael Kightly picked up injuries before the Norwich game.

Last night at Derby County, Albion lost Jackson Irvine at half time.

Clough said: “We had the bare 18 with only Marcus Harness as a spare man, last night.

"There are a couple who are touch and go for Friday and it will be a dilemma as we have clear eight days after that. But if we put them out there they might make it worse and be out for a few weeks and we know if we don’t play them they will definitely be fit for Bristol City afterwards.

"Tight hamstrings worry us and that’s Michael and Jackson - if they go we know it will be four to six weeks.

“John Brayford and Kyle McFadzean haven’t joined training yet – but at least Kyle can get a boot on now, although his toe is still very sore.”
