INJURY UPDATE AHEAD OF DERBY

20 February 2017

NIGEL Clough has ruled out any possibility of his injured players returning for tomorrow night’s fixture against Derby County.

The Albion boss was without Damien McCrory, Kyle McFadzean, John Brayford and Lucas Akins for Saturday’s game against Norwich City and they will still be sidelined for the trip to Pride Park.

Blackburn Rovers visit the Pirelli Stadium on Friday and Nigel Clough is doubting whether his players will be fit for that clash too.

He said: ”No, not for tomorrow. There's very much of an outside chance for Friday night, but nobody else will be available for tomorrow.

"Damien McCrory has not trained yet, his hamstring is still a bit sore. They are jogging and stuff, but not anywhere near joining in yet."

Lucas Akins was named on the bench against Norwich, but was replaced by Shaun Barker on the team sheet as the Albion forward pulled up with a calf injury during the warm-up.

"His calf is still sore. He aggravated in the warm-up on Saturday, so we'll see how he is, but I'd say he's a doubt at the moment."
