BURTON Albion Community Trust (BACT), in partnership with Burton & South Derbyshire College, are pleased to announce the re-branding and structuring of the Female Football & Education Programme under the new banner of the 'Burton Albion Female Football Academy.'

The Burton Albion Female Football Academy will support your academic and football development over the duration of the course based within a professional football club environment.

You will receive professional coaching from UEFA and FA Qualified Licensed Coaches from Burton Albion Ladies FC who have extensive experience in the women’s game and delivering the player development pathway.

You will complete three training sessions a week with an optional fourth and compete in a weekly fixture (11 a-side) as part of our tailored football programme. This programme incorporates the 4 corner model with technical drills, physical sessions including strength and conditioning and rehabilitation, tactical and match preparation exercises which will fit perfectly around your educational studies with 11 a-side league fixtures played on a Wednesday afternoon.

Burton Albion’s Education Manager Aaron Savva said: “The Burton Albion Female Football Academy is an exciting programme for Female Football in the area. By combining the experience and vast knowledge of the Burton Albion Ladies coaches, the outstanding staff and resources at Burton and South Derbyshire College, alongside the fantastic facilities at the Pirelli Stadium including the Burton Albion Community Football Centre, it will allow us to create a positive and competitive environment for talented female footballers."
