THREE ACADEMY PLAYERS SECURE LOAN MOVES

28 February 2017

SEVERAL Brewers u18s players have sealed work experience moves to clubs in the non-league pyramid in recent weeks.

The aim of the loan moves is for the young players to experience first-team football, and there are more moves lined up for a number of other second year scholars in the near future.

U18s coach Sam Rose says that experiencing football outside of the Academy games programme will be of massive benefit to the players as they look to build on the success of playing for the Brewers u18s side: “Dylan (Garnett), Lewis (Walker) and Cam (Shaw) are keen to test themselves in a men’s first-team.”

He added: “We have worked hard to build relationships with local clubs to make work experience moves like this possible and we are confident the lads will become better players as a result. We are still looking to close work experience moves for a number of other players as we strive to give the lads the opportunity to impress in senior football.

“Players such as Charlie Gatter, Marcus Dinanga and Ben Fox are benefiting massively from similar moves and we are optimistic that they will take full advantage of the experience. We would like to thank Belper Town, Long Eaton United and Boldmere St Michaels for their support.’’

Dylan Garnett - Belper Town (Northern Premier League Division 1 South)

Lewis Walker - Long Eaton United (Midland Football League Premier Division)
