NIGEL Clough thought his team should have held out for a point at the Cardiff City Stadium, but they were undone by a stoppage time goal.

He said: "I thought we deserved at least a point today. We restricted Cardiff to very few opportunities but we created few ourselves.

"It was going out for a 0-0 but then they get a free kick which hits the wall, they get the cross in and we end up on the back of another defeat which we didn't deserve.

"It's not the first time it's happened so we're getting used to it. It's still not quite running for us out there at the moment but you've just got to make sure those little situations develop then you have to deal with them.

"We've just got to keep working hard and keep stressing to the players they've got to keep doing the right things for the whole game, not just 89 minutes.

"When a ball hits the wall and rebounds it can go anywhere but it goes to the lad who gets a cross in and we end up conceding a goal.

"We got too many attracted to the ball once it hit the wall but apart from that there's not much we can do about it."
