WOOODROW LOOKING TO SCORE KEY GOALS FOR BREWERS

27 January 2017

CAULEY Woodrow is hoping he can bag the goals that can keep the Brewers in the Championship.

After joining the Brewers on loan from Fulham, the 22-year-old is aiming to give Nigel Clough another attacking option.

He said: “It’s a striker’s job to score goals so hopefully I can do that and help Burton get up the table.

“It’s been a difficult season for me at Fulham so it’s important for me to come here get games, hopefully score goals and help Burton do well.

“I like to work hard for the team, hold the ball up and be clever and do my best for the team.

“I spoke to the Gaffer and he told me how the team plays and how I would fit into that and I look forward to working with him.”

Being able to train at St George’s Park is a plus for Woodrow.

He said: “It’s a great facility. I have been there quite a few times with England and I will be happy to go there now with Burton Albion and enjoy my training and time there.”

Woodrow signed in time for tomorrow’s game at QPR.

He said: “It’s a big game tomorrow at QPR. If I am involved that will be great and I will look forward to it.”
