Burton Albion pre-season preparations continue this week and gives the Albion fans the first chance to see Nigel Clough’s players ahead of the 2017/2018 Sky Bet Championship campaign.
The players have been working on their fitness in numerous ways in the last week or so by taking part in double sessions under the watchful eye of Clough and his coaching staff.
The Albion squad will play two fixtures this week, one against Kidsgrove Athletic on Wednesday evening at 7.30pm and one against Mickleover Sports on Friday at 7.30pm.
Nigel Clough has confirmed that everybody will be involved in the first pre-season fixture, apart from the injured Jake Buxton and Marvin Sordell.
There will be 2 XIs, each will play 45 minutes. Jackson Irvine and Liam Boyce will play a part in the friendlies after returning from international duty earlier this week.
The Albion manager also confirmed trialist Matty Fryatt will play 45 minutes against Kidsgrove.
Tickets are available for supporters on the gate for these fixtures and supporters are reminded that both are cash only.
Kidsgrove play their games at the Novous Stadium and tickets are priced at £8 for adults, £5 for concessions, Armed Forces £5 and under 16s are free.
Mickleover Sports play at the Don Amott Arena and tickets are priced at £6 for adults, £4 for concessions and under 16s are free.
