TOM Naylor was in the starting XI that beat Solihull Moors 2-1 in the third pre-season friendly of the campaign, and he said it was one of the toughest tests yet.
"I thought it was a good test tonight," he said. "They are a well-equipped team and I think they will do well in the conference next year. I think that was the biggest test this pre-season.
"Our quick passing was there and our movement was there as well. It's all about the fitness this side of pre season. We go down south tonight and have a game on Friday night where other lads will play more minutes than the lads that played tonight."
He said: "We all like to get the games out the way. It was a long ten days before the first pre season game which were intense and hard. The games come thick and fast and hopefully it means the running is out of the way."
Marvin Sordell scored the winning goal tonight, and Naylor said it looks as though he's never been away, despite carrying an injury early on in pre-season.
"Sordell did it last season, he got a few goals and he carried it on tonight. He's been out with a calf strain over the past couple of weeks but he looks like he's never been away."
