HARNESS JOINS VALE ON LOAN

18 July 2017

BURTON Albion youngster Marcus Harness has joined League Two side Port Vale on a season-long loan deal.

The 21-year-old winger made 10 Championship appearances from the bench for the Brewers last season and will be looking to further his first-team experience under Vale boss Michael Brown.

The tricky winger made his debut back in 2013 aged just 17 against Notts County in the then Johnstone's Paint Trophy and has made 36 senior appearances for the Brewers since.

Brewers manager Nigel Clough said about the loan move: “Hopefully the Port Vale loan will give Marcus the game time he needs to kick on, he’s played well in pre-season and scored a good goal against Mickleover on Friday night.”

Everyone at Burton Albion wishes Marcus a successful loan spell at Port Vale.
