THE Brewers beat Arnold Town 9-0 tonight at Eagle Valley this evening thanks to goals from Marcus Dinanga (2), Joe Sbarra, Tom Naylor, Matty Palmer, Ben Fox, Jake Davies (2) and Jack Hallahan.
It was the Brewers who started brightly and took the lead early in the 12th minute after a Sbarra cross found its way to Dinanga who slotted home from a few yards.
Twelve minutes later Dinanga doubled his tally for the evening and the Brewers lead after capitalising on a mistake from an Arnold defender. The striker cut inside onto his left and unleashed a fierce effort giving the opposition keeper no chance.
Midfielder Fox should have put the Brewers three up after good work from Sbarra but his effort was held well by the Arnold keeper.
Sbarra, who was lively throughout the first half made it 3-0 with a fine strike just inside the box. His effort flew into the top corner and once again gave the Arnold keeper no chance.
Dinanga almost grabbed a third after spinning an Arnold defender but his effort was saved well by the Arnold keeper. A corner from Palmer followed and defender Naylor headed home to make it 4-0 to the Brewers.
Palmer made it 5-0 to the Brewers just minutes later when he dispossessed an Arnold defender inside the area and slotted home with ease.
Not long after the Brewers made it 6-0 when Fox’s effort just outside the effort flew past the Arnold keeper.
The Brewers were not finished and substitute Davies helped himself to a goal after a lovely ball from the left from Damien McCrory. Davies had one touch inside the area then slotted past the keeper with ease to make it seven.
Davies doubled his tally shortly after, when he reacted first to a good save from the Arnold keeper following a Hallahan shot.
Hallahan got his reward shortly before full-time when Dinanga turned provider leaving the midfielder to tap in from a few yards.
