MATCH PREVIEW: SHREWSBURY TOWN

29 July 2017

Burton Albion visit New Meadow this afternoon (3PM) as they face League One side Shrewsbury Town as Nigel Clough's squad continue their pre-season ahead of next Saturday's opening Championship game against.

The Brewers pre-season so far has seen wins against Kidsgrove Athletic, Mickleover Sports and Solihull Moors.

The last time the two sides met at New Meadow it finished 1-0 to the Brewers thanks to a last gasp goal from former attacker Mark Duffy back in August 2015.

Shrewsbury finished last season in 18th in League One under manager Paul Hurst who joined them in October following an impressive spell at Grimsby Town. Shrewsbury were bottom when he took over and he kept them up comfortably, with his side looking to start the season well.

Albion fans can also pay on the day using cash only on the gate and away fans will be seated in the Pro-Vision CCTV North Stand.

Tickets are priced at: £10 for Adults, £5 for seniors, disabled fans and junior tickets (18 and under). Under 8s are free.
