HARRY Campbell has agreed a new one-year deal with Burton Albion.
The 21-year-old goalkeeper joined the Brewers from Bolton Wanderers at the start of last season and has now earned a new contract.
Brewers manager Nigel Clough said: “He did really well when he came in last season and with our other young keeper Sam Hornby going out on loan it’s important to have that back up.
“Harry did brilliantly in training and well for the under 23s and we feel he’s improving all the time. He was on the bench for the last few games and we would have had no problem if circumstances had dictated it to put him on the pitch. I’m delighted he’s staying with us.”
Campbell said: “It’s brilliant. I came in slightly late last year just after pre-season. But it was a great season. The boys had a good year and I’m hoping for more of the same next season.
“I feel like under the management and coaching here that I have come a long way. I might not have had the minutes on the pitch but through training and being around the lads I feel I have come on as a person and as a player.”
