JACKSON Irvine was a 57th minute substitute in Australia's 4-0 defeat to Brazil in an international friendly this morning.

A goal in the first minute followed by three second half goals ensured a comfortable victory for the Brazilians at Melbourne Cricket Ground in front of 4,9874 supporters.

The Socceroos handed a debut to Ajdin Hrustic and Dylan McGowan, who both came on in the second half.
