NIGEL Clough says although he'd rather be drawn at home in cup competitions the draw against Oldham Athletic in the first round of the Carabao Cup is a 'good' draw.
"It's a good draw but we do always like to be at home in the cup - but we're away from home in this instance," said Clough. "It's a good draw against a good Oldham side.
Should Burton Albion make good progress in the transfer window between now and August Nigel Clough hinted that he might use it as an opportunity to use his squad.
He said: "We will have to wait and see how we go on in the transfer window but if we have a squad by then we might have to use it.
"It's a tough draw and the biggest disappointment is not being drawn at home."
The Brewers boss was in the Burton Albion side that drew 2-2 against Oldham in the FA Cup back in 2002 where Aaron Webster and Craig Dudley got on the scoresheet, whilst Colin Hoyle was sent off after 23 minutes.
"We will try and keep 11 men on the field," said Clough.
Albion's most-recent match against Oldham ended in a 0-0 draw at the Pirelli Stadium, back in 2016.
