MICHAEL KIGHTLY NOMINATED FOR SKY BET EFL GOAL OF THE MONTH

10 March 2017

MICHAEL Kightly’s goal against Norwich City has been nominated for Sky Bet’s EFL February goal of the month.

The 31-year-old will be up against Almen Abdi and Jonny Howson who have also been nominated for the award.

Almen Abdi – Nottingham Forest v SHEFFIELD WEDNESDAY 18th February
Sprinting forward to join the attack, Abdi watched the ball drop to him on the edge of the area to strike a sweet volley that flew past Forest keeper Jordan Smith.

Jonny Howson – NORWICH CITY v Nottingham Forest – 11th February
When a corner was headed out, Howson cleverly judged the ball’s looping trajectory to send a technically perfect volley into the top corner off the outside of his right foot.

Michael Kightly – BURTON ALBION v Norwich City – 18th February
Two impeccable touches saw Kightly cushion a dropping through ball past Norwich defender Russell Martin before chipping keeper John Ruddy with a first-time half-volley.

Burton Albion fans can vote for Michael Kightly’s goal by visiting skysports.com.
