SKIPPER UNLUCKY TO MISS OUT AGAINST FOREST SAYS CLOUGH

16 March 2017

NIGEL Clough says that skipper John Mousinho was unlucky to find himself out of the starting line-up against Nottingham Forest.

The Brewers No 4 started seven games in a row from the start of February and is fine form but has been a substitute for the last two matches.

Clough says that it’s important to have cover on the bench for defence, midfield and attack.

“The one who has been unlucky is John Mousinho. He understands the situation that we pick the team we think will get us the best result on that day.

“He was playing as well as anybody but we feel our best centre back pairing is Kyle McFadzean and Ben Turner.

“John has been unfortunate to miss out the last couple of games but he’s such a good influence around the place.

“He’s our captain and we know that if we need him at any time he will be ready to step straight in.”
