BURTON Albion defender Tom Flanagan has been called up to represent Northern Ireland for their upcoming World Cup Qualifying match.
Northern Ireland take on Norway at the National Football Stadium, Belfast on Sunday 26th March 2017 (7:45PM kick off).The 25-year-old was called up to Michael O’Neill’s last international squad, but is yet to make his first international appearances.
Flanagan has made 23 appearances for the Brewers so far this season, and has most-recently enjoyed a consistent spell playing at left-back.
Northern Ireland currently sit 2nd in the Group C qualifying group, five points behind leaders Germany but livel on points with 3rd-placed Azerbaijan who have a -2 goal difference compared to Ireland’s +6.
