TOM NAYLOR AND BEN FOX HEAD BACK TO SCHOOL

27 March 2017

BURTON Albion players Tom Naylor and Ben Fox have gone back to school.

The Brewers first-teamers used the international break to pay a visit to Pingle School in Swadlincote which this season is sponsoring both of them.

The players took questions from school pupils, posed for pictures and signed autographs.

They also used the visit to help publicise this summer’s Football to Amsterdam charity ride.

The annual event will this year be held in June and invites teams from football clubs and fans across the country to raise money and complete a 145-mile, two-day cycling challenge.

Maria Allen and Deb Holland from Pingle will join Burton Albion’s team this summer.

Burton Albion Community Trust Education Manager Aaron Savva is also part of the team and took the players up to Pingle.

He said: “It was great for the pupils to meet Tom and Ben and to find out more about their lives as professional footballers.

“It also gave the players a chance to find out more about the bike ride which we are all looking forward to and which will raise funds for Prostate Cancer UK – a charity which has the long term support of BACT, Burton Albion and the EFL.”
