LUND: SATURDAY IS HUGE FOR US

3 November 2017

MATTY Lund has emphasised the importance of Saturday’s game against Millwall, but he is not expecting an easy game at the New Den.

The Northern Ireland international, who scored his first league goal for Burton against Barnsley last time out, was part of a Rochdale side who beat Millwall away from home last season.

Lund says that The New Den is a tough place to go and get a result, but hopes the Brewers can prove their critics wrong on Saturday.

He said: “Millwall will be a tough place to go, I have played there a few times before and it is an interesting place to play.

“The standard is very good in the Championship and we have to stick together as a squad. Saturday is huge for us so we have to pull together and give it a go.

"We have to show people that we are not here to lose; we are here to get points. We obviously want to prove everybody wrong.”

Lund highlighted Millwall’s strike partnership of Lee Gregory and Steve Morison as potential danger men for the Lions. The duo have only scored twice between them in the league this season, but the Brewers midfielder believes Burton must be mindful of their quality.

He said: “(Steve) Morison is good in the air and (Lee) Gregory feeds off him quite well, we have to be wary of that.”
