YOUNG BREWERS TO SLEEP-OUT FOR CHARITY

7 November 2017

THE Burton Albion under 15s are taking part in YMCA Burton’s Sleepout 2017 on the 11th of November at the Pirelli Stadium.

The boys will spend a night sleeping in a cardboard box so that others don’t have to, raising money to support some of the most vulnerable and disadvantaged members of the community

Under 15s player Brynly Wilkins hopes that the Sleepout will raise awareness of the important issue.

“I think that it is only fair for us to realise just how some homeless people are spending every night. It just gives you an idea of what some people are having to do while you are at home and warm.

“We are hoping to raise awareness of what people who are actually homeless have to go through.”

Louis Bassett, a fellow under 15s player, believes the event is for a good cause.

“We want to raise money for the charity and appreciate what we have because it is a great cause.

“It is really good (to be doing this as a team) because it is team bonding as well. And, because it is Burton Albion, we are getting involved with the community.”

The Sleepout will take place in the North Stand of the Pirelli Stadium on the 11th of November. The Academy has set-up a donation page for you to support the boys and the good cause here.
