HOME FORM NEEDS TO IMPROVE SAYS CLOUGH

15 November 2017

NIGEL Clough wants to see an upturn in the Brewers home form starting against Sheffield United on Friday evening (7.45pm kick off).

The Brewers earned a first away victory of the season at Millwall last time out and having got those three points the Albion boss wants to see a change in fortune at the Pirelli Stadium, where Albion have lost the last four.

Clough said: “On the back of that we have to improve our home form and stop giving goals away. A few we have conceded we couldn’t do anything about but, generally speaking in the last few homes games we have given too many away and been too easy to score against. Stopping that will be a priority but that will be severely tested against a very good Sheffield United side who are doing extremely well in the league.”

Clough says his squad will be refreshed after the international break.

“Despite going into it on the back of a very good victory a break at any time of the season does us good. We hope now to pick up where we left off at Millwall and start a bit of an unbeaten run. It will be very difficult with the fixtures coming up but that will be our aim.”
