16 November 2017

BBC’s Price of Football survey results have been released today, and it’s good reading for Burton Albion.

The Brewers offer the cheapest adult shirt for £39.99 and the cheapest pie for £2.80, as well as the cheapest cup of tea which can be picked up for £1.50 at the Pirelli Stadium.

The average cheapest cost of an away ticket is £22.42. , which means Burton Albion offer one of the best value away ticket prices at just £20.

The lowest priced season ticket for Burton Albion costs £255 which is the same price as it cost five years ago, and is £82 cheaper than the average price in the division.

The BBC's Price of Football 2017 study shows the average cheapest adult matchday ticket price is down from £22.11 to £20.58.

More than two thirds of Championship clubs, including Burton Albion, reduced or froze their matchday ticket prices, while at least half of the clubs' season tickets were cut or remained the same.

It was also announced at the start of the month that Burton Albion Football Club has been shortlisted for the The Football Supporters' Federation 'Away Day of the Year' award.

The award ceremony will take place on Monday 4th December at The Pavilion at The Tower of London.

Cardiff City, Chesterfield, Fulham, Southampton and Swansea City have also been nominated for the award.

Supporters cannot vote for this award as it will be decided by a Football Supporters' Federation on the night of the awards.
