NAYLOR SAYS ONE WIN CAN TURN AROUND HOME FORM

22 November 2017

TOM Naylor believes that one win is all it will take to get the Brewers back on track at home.

Albion haven’t won at the Pirelli Stadium since beating Fulham on September 16 and have lost five in a row on home soil since then.

Away form has been better with a win at Millwall followed up with a draw at Brentford last night.

Naylor says that three points at home to Sunderland on Saturday could turn things around at the Pirelli Stadium.

“We have always generally been good at home, which we were last season, we just need to get that back. I think if we can just get three points our confidence will then be sky high again.

“We need to build on the Brentford performance and work even harder against Sunderland.

“The players know we need to pick it up and get more points on the board at home. It’s an even harder league this year and those points are massive.

“It’s a big game for us now against Sunderland. It’s always going to be against teams who are struggling around you."

Naylor thought his side deserved at least the point they brought back from Brentford and possibly all three.

“After they scored I thought we were on top. I’m not sure they deserved to go ahead but obviously it was a great free kick and there’s not much we can do about that.

“Will Miller and Joe Sbarra came on and added their energy and Joe set Ben Turner up for the goal and got us a point.”
