NIGEL Clough believes that Burton Albion are due a good run of results and hopes that they can put their poor run of form behind them.
The Brewers go into Saturday’s game against Derby County having won just one of their last 10 league games, with six consecutive home defeats coming in that time.
Clough admits that the Brewers have been on a bad run of form, but thinks a good string of results is just around the corner.
He said: “I do believe we're going to have a run, a good run.
"We've had our bad run, and I do believe we're going to have a good run at some point where we'll get an unbeaten run together, and all of a sudden that can make a big difference.
"But you don't want to be just fighting with four teams, that's dangerous, you want to try to get in that pack where there’s seven or eight teams, and at the moment we're adrift of that."
Despite their poor overall form, Burton have only lost once in their last six away games. Clough hopes that the Brewers can maintain their good form away from home as they look to put a good set of results together, starting with Saturday’s visit to Pride Park.
“I think that Derby fans will be expecting to win on Saturday, but we deal with that every time we go away from home. So we will look to continue our good form away from home, no matter who it is against.”
