"WE HAVE TO MOVE ON AFTER THE BREAK"

5 October 2017

BREWERS defender John Brayford says Burton Albion have got to take the last two results on the chin and put things right on Friday 13 against Bristol City.

“It was nice to get a break after the week that we had,” said Brayford. “It’s not nice to get beat 4-0 once never mind twice in a week but we’ve got to take these results on the chin and move on after the international break.”

Brayford has been ruled out of Friday’s game, but Nigel Clough says the defender has a good chance of playing against Nottingham Forest on Saturday 21 October.

“Once you get the results back it’s nice to know it’s now a long-term thing,” said the Albion defender. “It’s just one of them things you pick up from time-to-time.”

He made his move to Burton late on Deadline Day after not playing many games for Sheffield United in the early parts of the Championship season, and has since played five games for Nigel Clough’s team.

He said: “I wasn’t playing at Sheffield United but you still try to keep yourself in good shape then we had a few tough games.

“I think it’s just been picked up over a bit of fatigue and it’s just happened over three games in a week really.”
