NIGEL Clough says that his Brewers players will be hurting from the 4-0 defeats at the hands of Aston Villa and Wolves and will come back wanting to prove a point.
The Brewers are next in action at Bristol City on October 13 and the Albion manager expects a reaction from his team.
He said: “They will be very hurt by the last two games in regards of how good the opposition is and they will come back determined to do something about it.”
Clough also says that after the two defeats that no-one’s place is guaranteed.
“Everything is up for grabs after the last two games. It will be down to training and the formation we need to deal with Bristol City. One thing that’s not in doubt is the honesty of the players.
“The problem is that we are all or nothing at the moment – either keeping a clean sheet or conceding four. When that first goal goes in the priority is no to concede a second.
“But the adage there is no easy game in the Championship is even more true this season.”
