MCFADZEAN EXPECTS TOUGH CITY GROUND TEST

20 October 2017

BREWERS defender Kyle McFadzean is looking forward to the trip to the City Ground this weekend and expects a tough game despite Nottingham Forest having won one of their last five Championship games.

McFadzean said ahead of the trip: “I watched their game on Sunday and thought they were unlucky. It is always an uphill battle once you go down a goal so early, they had chances and played well, they’ve got a good squad, a good manager and like to play good football.

“I expect them to have lots of the ball on Saturday, we just need to keep calm, be patient and take our chances when we get them. We know as a team that if we get the first goal we can be really hard to score against as we pride ourselves as defending as a team.”

McFadzean says his teammates will take heart from last season’s 4-3 defeat at the City Ground: “I thought they were lucky the last time we went there, hopefully Saturday’s match won’t be as open. Their a club with a great history, we will enjoy the occasion, hopefully we will have a good away following and we will come away with a positive result.”

The trip to Nottingham sees the Brewers defence play against in-form Forest striker Daryl Murphy who has six Championship goals to his name so far, McFadzean said: “Murphy is a good Championship striker, I’ve come up him a few times and always enjoy a fair physical battle against in-form strikers.”
