INJURY UPDATE: BARNSLEY

30 October 2017

SEAN Scannell is the most likely of Burton Albion’s injured players to recover in time to line up against Barnsley tomorrow night at the Pirelli Stadium (7.45pm kick off).

Scannell tweaked a hamstring in training and missed Saturday’s 2-1 defeat at home to Ipswich.

Albion first team coach Andy Garner said: “Sean won’t train today but we will see how he goes working with the physio.”

Joe Mason (back), Will Miller (hamstring) and John Brayford (hamstring) will not be fit to face Barnsley.

Garner added: “It’s too soon for Joe, although he is feeling better. Jamie Allen has a bruised ankle after Ipswich but he will fine tomorrow. “

Brayford is now not expected to make a return before the international break that begins after the trip to Millwall on November 4.

Garner said: “It’s hard with John as he’s always so determined to play. We are going to make sure that he’s 100 per cent right.”
