SHAUN Barker has been named Burton Albion club captain.
With John Mousinho having moved to Oxford on transfer deadline day, Nigel Clough has had to name a new skipper and has decided to share the role with Barker being the captain for the group but not necessarily on the pitch.
Clough said: “Shaun won’t be starting too many games so he will have the club captain role and we will see about the captain on the pitch in the next few days.
“Shaun is an influential figure in the dressing room and he’s perfect for that role.”
