MANAGER'S VERDICT: LEEDS

9 September 2017

NIGEL Clough said that it was an "unbelievably tough" day against a quality Leeds United side.

The Brewers boss said: "It was more about how good Leeds were as we couldn't do anything to stop them this afternoon. They were excellent from the first minute.

"They are a very good Championship outfit who haven't conceded a goal here at Elland Road. We were a bit sloppy at times and gave the ball away needlessly but the gulf in quality was there for anyone to see.

"Their players are technically very good and caused us problems throughout - for our back four, especially, it was a very hard afternoon.

"The game is finished now. It's over and all we can do is think about Norwich on Tuesday. We said to the players that if we get results like that against us we just have to move on and get over it.

"There's no point analysing it. They were better than us. It's one game we have lost today - one game out of 46."
