CLOUGH TARGETS A CLEAN SHEET

12 September 2017

NIGEL Clough is targeting a clean sheet at Norwich tonight as the Brewers look to bounce back from defeat at Leeds United.

The Albion boss said: “We want to get our first away point and we are looking for a clean sheet tomorrow or if Norwich score then to make sure they have had to work very hard to do it. We also want to be a threat and not just sit back and defend for 90 minutes.

“We need to keep it quiet for an extended period at Norwich. There will be 25,000 cheering them on, and we need to stop them getting that first goal.

“I don’t think Norwich have hit form yet. They had a good win on Saturday at home but with a new manager coming in during the summer they have had a bit of an upheaval.

“Norwich are still waiting for some of their signings to hit top form so I’m not sure what we might face tomorrow. They are more than capable and have an awful lot of threats in their side.

“This is where the Championship has improved and clubs haven’t just got one or two players who can hurt you but five or six. It’s an uphill task for us every game and we can’t be below par.”
