MANAGER'S VERDICT: NORWICH

12 September 2017

NIGEL Clough was delighted with a clean sheet and a first away point for the Brewers after the 0-0 draw at Norwich.

The Albion boss said: "All that was lacking was a goal. We had a couple of great opportunities to get a goal and we could have won 1-0 tonight.

"After Saturday that was a very important result and shows the character we have in the dressing room.

"We had to work right to the 94th minute for it. Stephen Bywater has made one brilliant save but I don't remember them having too many chances.

"We wanted a clean sheet but didn't want to be negative which is why we played two up front. We wanted to cause them problems and even at the end Lloyd Dyer was breaking away.

"The most important thing was to get a first point away from home and a clean sheet and erase the memory from Saturday."
