CLOUGH PRAISES TEAM FOR BOUNCING BACK

13 September 2017

NIGEL Clough has praised his team's work ethic and resilience after the battling draw at Norwich City.

He said: "It hurts as professionals when you get a result like Saturday and you know you don't do your job as well as you can - as good as the opposition were. It was good for them to respond like they did last night.

"The lads are tired - they have worked their socks off again. It's hard physically but also mentally but hopefully we will be in a better frame of mind on Saturday now against Fulham."

The Brewers will be waiting on three injury doubts.

Clough said: "Matty Lund, Sean Scannell and Matty Palmer all missed the game last night but they all have a chance for Saturday. We will see how they are in the next few days.

"Fulham are one of the best teams in the Championship so it won't be easy but we are at home which makes a big difference and we want go and find a way to get a goal and create some chances.

"We have got a great point away from home and if you can then pick up something at home like we did against Birmingham and Sheffield Wednesday then it's all the better and you start getting some points on the board."
