ENGLAND will kick-off the UEFA European U17 Championship on home soil against Israel, following Thursday's draw

The Pirelli Stadium will be hosting numerous games throughout the tournament..

All 16 nations that have qualified for the finals, which England are hosting for the first time at venues across the Midlands and South Yorkshire from May 4-20, attended the draw at St. George’s Park.

Steve Cooper’s Young Lions head up Group A alongside Switzerland, Italy and Israel, with their first game taking place at Chesterfield FC on Friday 4 May (7pm).

Their second game will be against Italy at Walsall FC on Monday 7 May (3pm), before they head to Rotherham on Thursday 10 May (7pm) for their final group match against the Swiss. Tickets for all three England games are on sale now.

The draw was made by England’s record goalscorer and tournament ambassador Wayne Rooney, who starred at the annual competition in Denmark back in 2002, and UEFA’s Youth & Amateur Football Committee Chairman John Delaney.

Three more venues – Burton Albion, Loughborough University and St. George’s Park – are also hosting fixtures.

The UEFA European Under-17 Championship Final will be played at Rotherham United on Sunday 20 May.

Group A: 1 England, 2 Switzerland, 3 Italy, 4 Israel

Group B: 1 Slovenia, 2 Norway, 3 Portugal, 4 Sweden

Group C: 1 Republic of Ireland, 2 Bosnia & Herzegovina, 3 Denmark, 4 Belgium

Group D: 1 Serbia, 2 Netherlands, 3 Germany, 4 Spain 


The following group stage matches will be hosted at the Pirelli Stadium:

Saturday 5 May: Serbia vs. Spain, 5:45 PM

Monday 7 May: Norway vs. Sweden. kick-off 12:30 PM.

Tuesday 8 May: Republic of Ireland vs. Denmark, kick-off 7:00 PM.

Thursday 10 May: Norway vs. Slovenia, kick-off 1PM.

Sunday 13 May: Quarter final 2, 6PM kick-off.
