INJURY UPDATE: DERBY COUNTY

11 April 2018

NIGEL Clough says he will have to send out a “patched up team” to face Derby County on Saturday.

The Brewers were without Damien McCrory (hamstring) and Kyle McFadzean (illness) before the start of the game against Hull and then lost Lloyd Dyer (hamstring), Tom Naylor (thigh strain) and John Brayford (sickness) by half-time.

Darren Bent will also be missing on Saturday as part of the conditions of his loan deal from Derby.

Clough said: “We will have to see on Friday/Saturday where we are.

“Tom Naylor felt his thigh last night. Kyle McFadzaen and John Brayford it will be about how they recover from illness.

“I don’t think Lloyd Dyer will recover from his hamstring problem and Darren Ben is ineligible so we will be a striker down.

“Tom Flanagan twisted his knee and that’s sore and Jacob Davenport has calf and groin niggles. Marvin Sordell was coming off at half-time last night but John Brayford was too ill to continue.

“At the moment I’m not sure we can get an 18 out there.

“We might register Reece Hutchinson (Under 18s midfielder) and put him on the bench for experience.”
