BURTON Albion has received a Family Excellence Award for the 2017/18 season.
The award recognises “the extraordinary quality of the family experience” provided on a matchday at the Pirelli Stadium.
Burton Albion Commercial Director Fleur Robinson said: “Being a family-friendly club is very important to us and we are committed to making the matchday experience enjoyable for all our supporters.
“This season we have introduced a Family Area in the North Terrace and we have significantly improved pre-match activities for youngsters over at the 3G pitch.
“Staff at the club and our charity Burton Albion Community Trust have worked hard to ensure families have a great time and I’m delighted that has been recognised by this award.”
FAMILY MATCH-DAY EXPERIENCE
BURTON ALBION OFFERS A UNIQUE MATCHDAY EXPERIENCE FOR FAMILIES, WITH TOUR FAMILY ZONE LOCATED AT THE COMMUNITY FOOTBALL CENTRE BUILDING (OUTSIDE THE PIRELLI STADIUM). THERE ARE PRE-MATCH FUN AND ACTIVITIES ON THE 3G FOOTBALL PITCH. THE FAMILY ZONE WILL OPEN FROM 1.15PM - 2PM ON EVERY HOME MATCHDAY (6.00PM-6:45PM FOR EVENING KICK-OFFS). BILLY AND BETTIE BREWER WILL BE ON HAND TO JOIN IN WITH ALL THE FUN PRIOR TO KICK OFF. THEN HEAD TO THE FAMILY STAND AT 2.15PM, BEFORE PLAYERS PAY A VISIT AT 2.45PM. INSIDE THE STADIUM, REFRESHMENT KIOSKS ARE BASED UNDER ALL FOUR STANDS BUT WE ARE SIGN POSTING FAMILIES TOWARDS THE NORTH STAND (SECTION J) OF THE STADIUM, AS WE LOOK TO ENCOURAGE OUR YOUNGER SPECTATORS AND FAMILIES TO SITUATE THEMSELVES IN A SIMILAR AREA OF OUR TERRACING FOR THE BEST AND FRIENDLIEST EXPERIENCE OF MATCHDAY.
