BREWERS SUPPORT FOOTBALL SHIRT FRIDAY

27 April 2018

BURTON Albion staff today showed their support for Football Shirt Friday (April 27th).

In support of the Bobby Moore Fund, staff at the Pirelli Stadium wore their favourite football shirts for the day - with plenty of yellow and black on display - as well as donating to the Fund.

The Bobby Moore Fund was set up 25 years ago by Stephanie Moore MBE, Bobby’s widow, in his memory to fund pioneering, life-saving bowel cancer research.

Since the fund was set up, mortality rates have fallen by more than 30% and over £23.5 million has been raised for research.

"It's a fantastic cause and we're grateful to everybody at the club for sporting a fantastic array of shirts, and for donating to the charity," said John Widdowson, Health and Inclusion Manager at Burton Albion Community Trust.

Make sure to take a selfie of you in your Brewers shirt and tag the club using the hashtag #FootballShirtFriday on Instagram (@officialburtonalbion) and Twitter (@burtonalbionfc)!

Supporters can also donate by texting "SHIRT" to 70200.
